| My career started in 2002
when I began taking photos at horse shows and selling them to my fellow friends. It wasn't long after that I was hired to shoot a wedding and then some senior portraits.
Since then, my assignments broadened into sports, fashion and finally advertising. They say dreams come true and for me it was the opportunity of opening my own business and working as a freelance photographer on numerous accounts. Currently, I am in the process of expanding my business to include a section of Vermont Panoramics.
I love panoramic photographs. They reveal more of the world than one could normally see with the naked eye. The experience of looking at a panoramic image recreates a moment in time as the viewer is held captive, looking around in the vastness of the landscape, sharing that exact moment in time as if you were there.
My photos usually reflect natural elements as the primary focus. I've always found it challenging to film in dust, rain and snow and love pushing light to its limit. These conditions have given me many of my favorite images.
In some cases I have altered these photos to create an artistic quality that I feel enhances them. They take on a painting-like feeling but maintain their photographic quality. I refer to it as artography, and I believe it is only in its infancy.
All these photos were taken using 35mm equipment in either film or digital formats.
